OUR STORY

Aratome LLC was founded to commercialize array tomography.  Invented at Stanford University by Stephen Smith and Kristina Micheva,  array tomography is a super resolution, high multiplex method of imaging immuno-stained ultrathin serial sections.  We developed technologies, hardware, software, and a pipeline for sectioning, staining, imaging, merging and analyzing data. 

In a quest for brighter signals, we invented our DNA-based amplification method, and have concentrated on developing it more broadly for other contexts, including formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues, bead surfaces, and anywhere bright signals are needed.
